Okita Souji (沖田 総司) is a character in the Bakumatsu Era.
Appearance[]
He has violet hair and violet eyes. He is tall and always has a katana with him. He is seen to wear blue or white traditional japanese clothing. When he is playing for Zanark Domain, he wears the Zanak Domain soccer uniform with the number 17 at the back.
Personality[]
He is serious and perseveres in training every moment.
Plot[]
In Episode 26, he was first shown working hard in training, but he immediately coughed badly due to his illness and ended up in his futon. He wanted to get up from his futon but in both incidents made subordinate worried for his condition.
In Episode 27, he and his friend were aborted by Zanark in his room. As he demmanded to know where is Kondou Isami and why Zanak was wearing his clothes, the foward tried to use his Sphere Device to mind control both of them. Despite having sucessfuly do so with Okita's friend, Okita resisted to the mind control and used his katana to stop it before it was too late. Impressed, Zanark asked him his name, and when the swordsman answered his question, he began to laugh as he founded the one he was looking for. He then lend some of his power to Okita, much like as he did with Protocol Omega 3.0, temporary healing him from his desease and putting him under his control.
As he was exiting his dojo, he received information from one of his swordsmans that Sakamoto Ryouma was seen in the riverbank.

To recruit Okita, you need to complete the story mode. Also, you'll need to have:
- Topic: Prodigy Swordsman (Mansion Street)
- Photo: Maple Quarters (Taken before the Shinsenguumi HQ)
- Topic: Legendary Swordsmith (Found at the gates before Nobunaga Castle)
- Encounter: Meet Okita! (At the Shinsenguumi HQ)
After this, he can be recruited for 4000 Kizuna Points.

- According to the actual history, Okita has suffered from tuberculosis, heatstroke and anemia. Most probably due to tuberculosis that Okita is coughing and feeling ill in the anime.
